Rules for Hardcorps Field

AVAILABLE IN GREATER DETAIL IN HARDCORPS FIELD MANUAL

General Rules:

Goggles are to remain on at all times, unless otherwise stated by adminstration of Hardcorps Combat Simulations

No firing on unarmed spectators and/or wildlife. Being caught for this will result in immediate ejection from field - no refunds will be issued!

No malicious contact between players and/or administration (ie.fighting). This will be a zero tolerance offence.

Players are to remain off buildings/walls at all times. Towers will be obvious and have a sturdy ladder or step for access.

Absolutely no BLIND FIRE!  If you cannot see where your shots are going, DO NOT FIRE!!!

 Hit

Airsoft is exclusively an honor sport. That being said, all players must rely on their own honor and situational awareness to call their hits. This is not a request, it is mandatory. Players that do not obey this simple rule will be asked to leave on first offence and told not to come back on the second offence. The legitimacy of the sport depends on this simple rule, if hits are not called, it isn't really a game anymore.

Any BB strike to your body and clothing, no matter how light, counts as a hit unless the BB has bounced back and hit you. If the BB strikes an object and bounces toward you to strike you then it is still a hit no matter how light. A hit 'kills' you, ending one of your teams lives from the total Troops available to them for that scenario. You are to drop where you are hit and pull your 'Kill' rag out. You must stay down for a 60 count while you 'Bleed Out' before returning to a designated Spawn Point. If a medic transfers a medic patch to you before you 'Bleed Out' you may revive then and there and your team does not lose a Troop. Unless playing a Hardcore Mission (where the whole team must respawn together) once you return to a Spawn zone you subtract one life from your teams Troops counter (or personal respawn) then immediately return to play.

Explosive BBs
BBs fired from weapons like grenades or rockets are considered hits regardless of the direction or number of bounces they make before striking targets.

Gun Hit
A BB strike that hits a weapon destroys the weapon until your next life. You may use your sidearm or return to a designated armoury or drop zone to re-arm with another weapon from your personal arsenal. If your weapon is disabled and you have no alternate you may choose to take it as a death/kill.

Ammo Loads:

Generally no restriction; limited to 1000 BBs for campaign play days; Real Cap is encouraged

Mercy Kills:

Call MERCY on any opponent who is:
-clearly unaware of you
-and is closer than 10 feet / 3.0 meters

This is out of respect for other players and is intended to encourage honour of play. (For CQB chest shots are encouraged- head shots should be minimized unless unavoidable. Use of semi-auto is also encouraged)

Clean Kill:

Clean kill is a player enforcable rule that helps eliminate the players that are not playing with honor. Please note that this is for close to medium range situations in most cases. If a player suspects that they have hit a player, that is one thing, if they see a bb bounce off the player - they can execute a clean kill. A player that executes a clean kill must take a death to deal with the troublesome player.

Procedure goes as follows:

Pull kill rag, proceed in calm fashion to accused player and announce clean kill. Accused player can discuss situation with the announcer, but must take death no matter what the actual outcome was.

Players may feel that this is a lame way to deal with this problem, but the reality of this is that most players will take this without argument, sometimes they honestly don't notice even at medium and close range. In addition, if all players are enforcing the hit rule, then it makes everybody an admin. All players are accountable for honor of themselves, this rule allows them to enforce honor on other players as well. Eventually this rule will phase itself out, but until we stop having hit calling issues, this ruling will stand.
